2. Hosting and Website Operation (Wix)

Our website is provided via Wix.com. In the course of hosting and operating the website, Wix processes personal data (e.g., technical usage data and content/communication data when you use website features such as forms). In this context, Wix generally acts as a data processor on our behalf; however, depending on the specific feature used, Wix may also act as a (joint) controller.

3. Access Data / Server Log Files

When you visit our website, data that your browser transmits to the server is processed for technical reasons. This may include, in particular: IP address, date and time of access, page/file accessed, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, and, where applicable, the internet service provider.
The purpose of this processing is to provide the website and to ensure stability, security and error analysis.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure, stable and functional operation of the website).

4. Contact Form and Email Contact

If you contact us via the contact form, we process the data you enter: first name, last name, company (optional), email, message.
If you contact us directly by email (info@maisonverum.com), we process the data you provide in order to handle your request.
The purpose of the processing is to deal with your enquiry and to communicate with you.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking steps prior to entering into a contract / performance of a contract), insofar as your enquiry is aimed at this. In all other cases, we rely on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient communication and the handling of enquiries).
Retention period: We generally delete enquiries once they have been conclusively processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply or further storage is necessary for documentation purposes (e.g., in the event of a subsequent contractual relationship or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims).

5. Recipients / Disclosure of Data

For the provision of the website and the handling of enquiries, personal data may be transferred to or processed by the following service providers:

  • Wix.com (hosting, provision/administration of the website and the contact form)

  • Google Workspace (email infrastructure for sending and receiving communications via info@maisonverum.com, including storage and delivery of emails as well as spam and security filtering)

Any further disclosure only takes place where it is necessary for the performance of a contract, where we are legally obliged to do so, or where you have consented.

6. Cookies / Similar Technologies

We currently do not use any analytics or marketing tools. However, Wix may use technically necessary cookies or similar technologies that are required for the operation of the website, the provision of core functions and the security of the website.
Where cookies or similar technologies are strictly necessary for the operation of the website, they are used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website) and—where applicable—on the basis of the statutory provisions governing access to and storage of information on end-user devices.
If optional cookies/tools (e.g., analytics/marketing) are used in the future, we will provide separate information and obtain your consent in advance where required (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

7. International Data Transfers

Depending on the technical setup and the service providers used, personal data may also be processed outside the EU/EEA, in particular where service providers or their sub-processors are established in third countries or operate servers there.
In such cases, a transfer will only take place where the requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR are met, in particular on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by implementing appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) and, where necessary, supplementary protective measures.

8. Your Rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to certain processing (Art. 21).
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

9. Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
